Loki is heading back into the MCU spotlight in Avengers Doomsday, and this time, he might not be the chaotic villain we met in 2012! After his big heroic moment in the Loki season 2 finale on December 5, 2023, where he sacrificed himself at the End of Time, the god of mischief is stepping into Phase 6 with serious main character energy.
Marvel already confirmed Tom Hiddleston is part of the cast, but until now, fans were guessing if he would just appear or actually have an important role. Now, a new video from the Giornate Di Cinema event in Sorrento has everyone talking because Loki was grouped right next to the new Avengers lineup. Disney showed a fancy cast presentation where characters were arranged by teams. The Fantastic Four had their little block, the Thunderbolts had theirs, as well as the X Men.

The biggest surprise came when Loki’s headshot was sitting right beside Sam Wilson’s presumed Avengers squad. This hints at the possibility that the god of chaos could be tied to Thor, Ant-Man, Captain America, Falcon, and Shang-Chi in the storyline. Most recently, a tweet from @MCUSource confirmed that Loki would be the protagonist of Avengers Doomsday, confirming fan speculation regarding his role.
