GLITT and FEARNOT fan protests hit HYBE headquarters

The tension surrounding NewJeans’ possible return has sparked a new wave of controversy among some fan groups. On November 20, 2025, FEARNOT and GLITT (that’s the name LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT fans have) staged truck protests outside HYBE’s headquarters in Yongsan-gu, showing messages demanding protection for their idols and accountability for ongoing online harassment.

Trucks expressed demands like “We cannot remain silent against organized malicious comments” and urged HYBE and Belift Lab (a sister company to HYBE) to “restore justice for ILLIT.” Other messages focused on mental and physical well-being, calling out companies to take real action instead of staying silent as the situation regarding online harassment and malicious Internet comments continues to intensify.

Fans pressure HYBE’s subsidiary companies, potentially due to NewJeans’ return

Fans of LE SSERAFIM called out Source Music, criticizing the agency for allegedly failing to address workplace harassment and questioning if it could truly safeguard the members’ health. Signs bluntly asked, “Depressed just by being near HYBE?” and warned that “the real agony is felt by LE SSERAFIM and FEARNOT.” The protestors also rejected the idea of forced apologies or any kind of public reconciliation, insisting that they would not accept “sharing authority with groups maliciously targeting LE SSERAFIM.” With HYBE, ADOR, and the NewJeans members currently negotiating future activities, tensions have grown stronger. Agencies respond to the backlash

This controversy follows similar protests held earlier by domestic LE SSERAFIM fans near HYBE offices. In response to the concerns, both ILLIT and LE SSERAFIM agencies have issued statements addressing the issue of malicious online behavior. Belift Lab emphasized the seriousness of the situation on November 14, 2025, noting that some ILLIT members are minors and promising stricter action against slander. Source Music also announced that legal measures would increase due to the surge in harmful posts targeting LE SSERAFIM.
