On September 5th, 2025, a California federal judge gave him the green light to demand X (formerly Twitter) reveal who’s behind accounts that spread fake videos of him. These clips, made with AI, tried to paste his face onto obscene and racist content. The Stray Kids hitmaker quickly set things straight about the material, saying, “The videos are fake. I did not agree to their creation or posting.”

Bang Chan filed his request on September 1st, and fellow member Felix followed with his own on September 3rd. Two days later, both were approved, and their legal team, led by Jeong Kyung Seok, is no stranger to hunting down rumor spreaders. He once nailed the operator of the YouTube gossip channel ‘Taldeok Camp,’ winning a $38,000 damages case.

With the U.S. court’s approval, Bang Chan can demand that X hand over emails, phone numbers, and IP addresses tied to the accounts. That info will help him file a civil case in Seoul’s Eastern District Court. Felix is doing the same against other offenders.
