Arden Cho might be busy hunting demons in her new Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters, but in real life, she’s a BTS fan girl! She spilled all these details and more during a chat with Naver on July 15, 2025, in which she got real about her job and her music taste. In case you didn’t know, Arden voices Rumi, the leader of the film’s protagonist girl group, HUNTR/X. Her character battles dark forces using honmun, a spiritual shield powered by fan love.

Growing up in a rural Texas town, Arden Cho faced discrimination but stayed rooted in her culture. She trained in Taekwondo at her dad’s dojang, earned a black belt, and kept her Korean language skills with family visits to Seoul. She originally auditioned for Celine, HUNTR/X’s mentor, but was later encouraged to try out Rumi, and boom! Arden flew back to the United States and nailed the part.
But the best thing? When asked about her favorite real-life K-pop group, Arden didn’t even hesitate. “BTS is the best,” she shared. She even flew to Las Vegas mid-filming just to see them in concert. “If you want to understand what K-pop truly is, you have to see them live.” The actor expressed, remarking BTS’s undeniable influence in the KPop Demon Hunters film and the genre as a whole.
And just like that, we get to know a little bit about the person who lends her voice to Rumi, a character we all love.
