The pre-recorded 2024 MBC Drama Awards filled the room with joy on January 5 after being broadcast. This year wasn’t an exception to the rule, and the ceremony honored the network’s drama’s excellence from the past year. The show’s broadcast had to be postponed due to the period of national mourning following the tragic incident of the Jeju Airplane. These are all the winners of the 2024 MBC Drama Awards.
- Daesang (Grand Prize): Han Suk Kyu (“Doubt”).
- Drama of the Year: “Chief Inspector 1958.
- Top Excellence Award (Miniseries): Yoo Yeon Seok (“When the Phone Rings”), Lee Je Hoon (“Chief Inspector 1958”), Lee Ha Nee (“Knight Flower”).
- Top Excellence Award (Short-Form or Daily Drama): Seo Jun Young (“The Brave Yong Su Jeong”), Uhm Hyun Kyung (“The Brave Yong Su Jeong”), Oh Seung Ah (“The Third Marriage”).
- Best Actor: Byun Yo Han (“Snow White Must Die – Black Out” ), Kim Nam Joo (“Wonderful World”).
- Best Couple: Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin (“When the Phone Rings”).
- Best Character: Kwon Hae Hyo (“Bitter Sweet Hell,” “Snow White Must Die – Black Out” ), Jung Sang Hoon (“The Pork Cutlets”).
- Lifetime Award: Choi Bool Am.
- Special Plaque of Appreciation: Kim Soo Mi.
