BTS’ Jin shares one regret following his torchbearer experience at the Paris Olympics

BTS‘ Jin has recently returned from his military service and immediately jumped back into the spotlight by making history as South Korea’s torchbearer at the Paris Summer Olympics 2024. In a heartfelt episode, the BTS member thanked his fans and revealed one regret he had following his experience as a torchbearer.

On August 11, 2024, BTS released a special episode that took fans behind the scenes of Jin’s special day in the Fashion Capital. The episode detailed his journey from preparation to the actual torch relay, capturing every moment. Despite this achievement, Jin initially questioned if he was the right person for the role, noting that he was not “an athlete or someone representing my country.”

However, he quickly acknowledged ARMY as the force making this opportunity possible. He thanked fans for letting him have this honor and revealed one tiny regret: as he walked his part of the relay, he wished he had taken a moment to glance at the Olympic torch in his hand.

Reflecting on this, Jin smiled and said, “That’s too bad,” accepting this little situation as part of a big moment. One thing’s for sure: he never takes for granted the love and support from ARMY.
