Billie Eilish is set to perform from Los Angeles as one of the three performers for the event. Snoop Dogg and Red Hot Chili Peppers will also join the singer in pre-recorded and live performances.

Unfortunately, this news comes with the reveal of a planned terrorist attack at Taylor Swift‘s concert in Austria, Vienna. Despite authorities being able to thwart the plans of three suspects trying to harm and take the lives of fans at the Ernst Happel Stadium, safety concerns remain. Therefore, the City of Angels will have security accounting for possible threats coming from land, sea, and air at the event.
Given the intriguing nature of these safety concerns, Variety did not reveal the location for the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games. However, the show will go as planned with Los Angeles Mayor, Karen Bass, accepting the Olympic Torch. The City of Angels will be hosting the Olympic Games from July 14 to July 20, 2028, with the closing ceremony giving a hint at what the city will offer.
