After it was leaked through social media on December 28th that Stary Kids‘ Hyunjin and ITZY‘s Yeji would be preparing a collaboration, fans of both groups were very excited, as they have long been asking for an interaction between these talented idols.
This performance was enjoyed before the end of the year 2023, as it took place at MBC Gayo Daejeon, which was held on December 31st, where the duo performed Sam Tinessz‘s ‘Play With Fire’ live, where they proved to have great chemistry while working together. Fans even named them the Hwang siblings, as they share similar traits, the same last name, and the same agency. But actually, these performers do not share any biological closeness, but they have such a similar personality that makes fans think they are connected.
Both the boy group Stray Kids, where Hyunjin belongs, and the girl band ITZY, of which Yeji is a member, are represented by the agency JYP Entertainment, which made it easier for this collaboration to be possible. Fans expect the ‘Hwang brothers’ to share the stage again in the near future.
