His agency, One Hundred, released a statement confirming the end of his exclusive contract following rumors that he was dating Japanese adult film actress Asuka Kirara. The company said it suspended Haknyeon’s activities right after learning about the issue and took time to confirm the facts. Initially, the idol was rumored to have engaged in prostitution with the actress, although he later posted a handwritten letter denying the claims. He described the woman as “an acquantaince” and apologized to fans.

After internal talks and a closer look at the situation, the agency decided the trust between the idol and the team was broken. They announced that he will no longer be part of the group, emphasizing that the choice was made after thorough discussion with the other members. One Hundred described it as a difficult but necessary decision to protect the rest of the group and maintain stability.
