Get ready for some holiday news, pop lovers! Remember Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, and Jennifer Hudson taking the stage recently? Well, J-Hud just gave us the inside scoop on her epic reunion with the other two vocal divas, and to be fair it’s all kinds of fabulous!
Now, for some context: Jennifer, Ari and Mimi recently performed live during the final show of Mariah’s holiday tour “Merry Christmas One and All!” These vocal powerhouses got together to bless the ears of fans, signing their Christmas bop “Oh Santa!” at Madison Square Garden. That’s right, on December 9, these divas gave themselves and fans a night to remember.
Now, J-Hud spilled the tea on her show, saying that they had to keep quiet because it wouldn’t have been a surprise otherwise. Then she revealed that the trio hadn’t seen each other in years – let alone perform the song live, which is something they hadn’t done either! They definitely lived their best life on stage.
“It was so fun, it was like a reunion for all of us… It felt like being with family. It felt like Christmas!” Jennifer said.
Who would’ve thought these three R&B divas were going to make us wait so long for a live rendition of “Oh Santa!”? Good things take time to come, it seems. No one could’ve guessed that “Oh Santa!” would get justice at a live show three years after being dropped, but after the vocal display from Mimi, J-Hud, and Ari, we can’t complain.
