Just as the title says, there will be one more Thor movie, and the truth is that it is loved, because it seems to be the only Avenger that has survived long enough to make it to a 5 that I can remember.
The latest word on a new Thor movie is that Taika Waititi, who is the director of the previous two films, will not be returning and the rumors haven’t been much better than that. Apparently, the Thor 5 movie is a done deal and Chris would be back to bring the role to life again, but apparently on one particular condition.
Apparently, Taika Waititi doesn’t have much love for his Thor movies, or at least that’s what the fandom of this superhero universe has concluded.
In an interview for the SmartLess podcast, Taika Waititi said:
“I had no interest in making one of those movies,” a few words in response to the question of how he came to direct for Marvel. “It wasn’t in my plan for my career as an auteur,” the New Zealander continues, “but I was poor and had just had a second child and I thought, ‘You know what? This would be a great opportunity to feed these kids.'”
Thor 5 is expected to take a much darker path, allowing for the adaptation of an intense Marvel Universe story. On the other hand, it has been speculated on several occasions that Thor 5, the actor’s fifth film, could mark the end of his UCM journey.
It’s not the first time that a director hasn’t expressed very well about working with a big studio, since when they do that, there are many conditions they have to fulfill and they don’t let them do their due work as directors, something that was well noticed to Taika.
