Near the end of the movie, the actor danced to the song “I’m just Ken” and caught the audience’s attention.
In an interview on October 8, during the London Film Festival, Greta decided to talk about this scene because she was asked if it was really necessary. She answered:
“In the script it simply said, And then it becomes a dream ballet and they solve their problems through dance.” “There was a big meeting after that, since the guys wanted to know if I really needed this, and to clarify one thing they didn’t understand; however, I ended up explaining the reference to ‘A Dream Ballet’ and everything became clear,” Gerwig said.
The “I’m just Ken” scene was inspired by a line from the famous movie “Singing in the Rain,” according to the Barbie director.
Ryan makes an impact in the movie with a very funny and particular dance.
Despite the movie’s controversy, there is no doubt that watching the Ken dance was one of the favorite moments of the movie, which caused many people to enjoy Gosling’s performance and gave him a great moment of charisma.
