Beyhive you better get in formation! Beyoncé is getting ready to bless us all with a concert film from her current “Renaissance World Tour.” Variety spilled the tea saying it is heading to AMC Theatres in the United States in the next few months!
So, here’s the breakdown for you: agency CAA has been chatting with big studios and streaming services. They’ve been negotiating to have Queen Bey’s new movie, which might include bits from her 2023 tour, some visuals from her “Renaissance” album, and a behind-the-scenes look at her life on the road! (Keep an eye out for some Blue Ivy magic as well).
The concert film could be officially dropping on December 1, which could honestly be the perfect Christmas hangout with family and friends. Sadly, there is still no word from AMC Theatres, CAA and let’s not mention Beyoncé herself. Trying to get a word from her is like trying to get a ticket to her sold-out concert – pretty much impossible.
This whole idea feels a little bit like a déjà vu, since pop queen Taylor Swift also had a deal with AMC for her “Eras Tour” movie. And make no mistake, these deals are extra-packed: Tay-Tay must have a thick wallet because she agreed to scoop half of the box office takings. Our two queens are definitely in sync on that one, as Beyoncé is set to arrange the same thing for her movie.
