King Felipe VI had a very busy schedule after Princess Leonor graduated from high school. In the past few weeks, he has had to attend several events in order to fulfill his role as the monarch of Spain and it looks like he also had a night out without Queen Letizia who has also been pretty busy.
On June 2, Felipe attended a prelude event to Armed Forces Day where he reviewed the ships and saw a demonstration carried out by the personnel of the Spanish Navy on the beaches of Motril. After the event was over, the 55-year-old king decided to take a walk in the city and it looked like he wanted to do something.
After a while, the monarch decided to have dinner at Las Tinajas restaurant, owned by José Álvarez. The staff of the restaurant was shocked by his presence and even more by the fact that he refused to sit in the VIP area and sat with everybody else instead. During this short visit, he also exchanged a few words with some of the diners.
Although King Felipe VI had a great time at the restaurant, Queen Letizia’s absence caught everyone’s attention. She was reportedly still in Madrid and did not travel to Motril until the very next day. As a result, some people now think that he wanted to have a night out without her and that their relationship could be in trouble.
