Taylor Swift’s fans were shocked to learn that she had split up with Joe Alwyn after six years of dating him; they had always believed he would be the one to walk her down the aisle. However, they both decided it was time to call it quits.
Taylor would, however, already be in a relationship with Matty Healy, the lead vocalist of the band The 1975, as the period of grief for their split has passed.
It wasn’t their first time dating, but the spark between them was fast, a source close to Swift told The Sun, adding that they are both “madly in love.”
“She and Maty are madly in love. It’s very early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost ten years ago, but the times just didn’t work out,” commented the close source.
Users would likely assume that Taylor’s adultery is the reason for this connection; however, the singer’s friend confirmed that there has been absolutely no betrayal.
“Taylor and Joe actually broke up in February, so there was absolutely no crossover,” she stressed.
Note that suspicions of a romance began after Taylor Swift surpised fans by unexpectedly performing at a Manchester band, The 1975, concert and playing the song Anti-Hero in an acoustic rendition.
