It was confirmed on Tuesday, April 4, that Donald Trump went to the district attorney’s office in connection with an investigation for alleged hush payments made during the 2016 presidential election and then turned himself in to the court. He is currently being held in police custody at the Manhattan courthouse and is being held under arrest.
According to leaked information, the billionaire will be arraigned at 2 p.m., where Trump will enter a not guilty plea to the 34 counts.
Although it is still unclear if his photo will be taken, it is anticipated that fingerprints will be obtained even though it is clear from pictures that he is not wearing handcuffs. The first pictures of the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump, driving a patrol vehicle are posted on social media amid a crowd of security personnel, members of the media, and locals.
For the businessman who was also present, this information would not have come as a surprise because he had posted a message on his social media accounts as he arrived at the courtroom.
“Heading to Lower Manhattan, to the courthouse. It seems so surreal, wow, I’m going to get arrested,” he wrote via Truth Social.
He added: “I can’t believe this is happening in the U.S. Wizard!”.
Since 2018, when there was talk of paying Stormy Daniels $ 130,000 before the 2016 presidential election, the New York justice began an investigation. The aforementioned was reportedly done to conceal the tycoon’s alleged extramarital affair.
The aforementioned sum, according to information from the American press, was reported as “legal fees” of Donald Trump’s business rather than being included in his campaign accounts, which would have been against electoral laws.
