The Canadian expressed the pride he felt upon receiving this award, and thanked all his family for accompanying him in all his projects:

“This is a totally unexpected honor and I’m really grateful. I have been surprised that everything I have been given, the success with my wife Tracy, my family, has prepared me for this profound opportunity and responsibility.

It’s been a gift.”
