Zootopia 2 is out here running its own marathon and breaking records left and right. The movie dropped on November 26, 2025, and instantly scored the second best five day opening for the holiday, only behind Moana 2 in 2024. By its second week, this furry crime-fighting sequel had already joined an elite club, becoming just the 7th Disney animated film to cross six hundred million dollars worldwide.
Things got spicier by the end of its second weekend, with projections from Variety saying that it could hit $915 globally, with revenue coming from the United States and the rest of the world. China even crowned it the second-highest-grossing American movie ever, sitting right under Avengers: Endgame.
‘ZOOTOPIA 2’ has already passed $900M worldwide.

The speed makes this success all the more impressive! As it was revealed on November 7, 2025, that Zootopia 2 reached the $900 mark in only 12 days, which is rare for most movies. That puts the furry adventure alongside other top films of 2025, including A Minecraft Movie, Lilo and Stitch, and Ne Zha 2. At this pace, hitting one billion is basically locked in. The movie is already the 5th highest-grossing release in the history of Walt Disney Animation Studios, and its domestic haul is higher than Frozen or the first Zootopia installment.
