Things got spicier by the end of its second weekend, with projections from Variety saying that it could hit $915 globally, with revenue coming from the United States and the rest of the world. China even crowned it the second-highest-grossing American movie ever, sitting right under Avengers: Endgame.

That puts the furry adventure alongside other top films of 2025, including A Minecraft Movie, Lilo and Stitch, and Ne Zha 2. At this pace, hitting one billion is basically locked in. The movie is already the 5th highest-grossing release in the history of Walt Disney Animation Studios, and its domestic haul is higher than Frozen or the first Zootopia installment.
