XG takes The Voice’s finale stage by storm with “Gala”
The live finale of The Voice 2025 was supposed to be about crowning a winner, but judging by the hype in the room, XG completely hijacked the moment! The group delivered a sensational performance of “Gala” on the show’s finale, turning the stage into a gold-drenched fashion catwalk, packed with futuristic energy. The song has been described as a runway-ready anthem, and on live TV, it felt exactly like that!
XG’s discography will finally include a full-length album

“Gala” is the pre-release single from XG’s long-awaited debut studio album, “The Core,” set to drop on January 23, 2026. Member Maya previously told The Hollywood Reporter that the song was inspired by the Met Gala, with the group pushing themselves creatively through new choreography, music styles, and fashion.
Since debuting with “Tippy Toes” in March 2022, XG has steadily built momentum through singles like “Left Right” and mini-albums like “New DNA” in September 2023 and “Awe” in November 2024. The group has built a global fanbase through festivals, live shows, Coachella, and headlining Japan’s a-nation in August.

This moment became even more meaningful following Cocona’s personal announcement earlier this month. On December 6, 2025, Cocona celebrated their 20th birthday by sharing that they are AFAB transmasculine non-binary, using they them and he him pronouns in English. Cocona also revealed they underwent top surgery earlier in 2025 and finally feel aligned with who they truly are. The announcement marked a major moment for LGBTQ+ visibility in Japanese and Korean entertainment, adding another layer of impact to XG’s already genre-pushing journey.
