In September 2020, Woojin was linked in an anonymous harassment report and after finding one of those responsible for the false rumors, today the K-pop idol raised the issue again in a candid interview for Liry Onni’s YouTube channel. The youtuber asked all kinds of questions to the former Stray Kids member, from how he felt about the false accusations against him to his next projects.
“If I said I didn’t suffer it, I’d be lying. I suffered a lot, for days I couldn’t sleep, it made me angry, it made me sad, like that.
With what happened to me, what I thought the most was how something that is not true can expand so much and I also thought about how to make people know the truth”.

Before ending the interview, Woojin asked him for a few minutes to send a message about those artists who are also having a difficult time facing false accusations that circulate about them on social media.
“Lately there are a lot of rumors, I was not the only one. There are many who are suffering due to false rumors. I would like there to be no more victims of these false rumors”.
These words have been taken by several fans as a message to idols who have been involved in strong accusations, where one of them could be Stray Kids’ Hyunjin and his former groupmate, since he was recently linked in a case of school violence.
