KPop Demon Hunters took Netflix by storm after its release on June 20, quickly landing in the Top 10 and eventually bumping The Old Guard 2 from the number one spot. The animated movie follows HUNTR/X, a fictional K-pop girl group that secretly slays demons while slaying the stage. With voices from Arden Cho, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, and more, plus hits sung by Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, the movie hit all the right notes with K-pop fans, kids, and families.

The big question now is whether Netflix will give the green light to a sequel. As of now, there is no official confirmation. But both directors, Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, have said they want to keep the story going. They teased that the 85-minute film left a lot of unanswered questions and hinted at side stories and new plotlines that could easily become a sequel or even a series. And the cast is all in too. For example, Ji-young Yoo said she would be bummed if a sequel doesn’t happen. Arden Cho said she would be heartbroken.
