BTS took over The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for the second time this week on March 26, 2026, serving another legendary performance. After singing “SWIM” the night before on the show, the group came back with “2.0,” another track from their new project, ARIRANG. The performance took place at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook performing a polished routine with no props. The 7-piece boy band relied on tight choreography and strong stage presence instead. They were also styled with black leather jackets and coats, adding to the sleek style of the performance.
The appearance came during an important week for the group. ARIRANG, which was released on March 20, 2026, has already broken several records. It became the most-streamed K-pop album in Spotify history and also the most-streamed album in a single day in 2026. On March 27, 2026, the album debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart in Australia, marking another important achievement for the group. In addition, BTS is also moving closer to another possible #1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart.
But the takeover does not stop here! More BTS projects are coming out, with the Netflix documentary BTS: The Return premiering on March 27, 2026. The documentary focuses on the making of their latest album. Additionally, the group will also begin a large world tour in April 2026 with 79 shows across 34 regions. Before these events, BTS held a comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on March 21, 2026. That event was streamed on Netflix and reportedly drew 18.4 million viewers worldwide.
