TXT has shown admiration for BTS several times during their journey as Kpop idols. The popular boy band truly believes that BTS has paved the way for new acts in the scene, and they have sent the genre into stardom in the international market. That’s why it’s no surprise Taehyun addresses them as “game changers.”

A “game changer” is used as a historical term to refer to someone who completely reshapes the landscape, creating new standards, a lasting legacy, and a profound influence in their environment. That’s exactly what Taehyun mentioned in a new interview while talking about BTS.

TXT's Taehyun sees BTS as seniors

“As an artist, when I hear the term ‘game changer,’ I think of someone who has a strong sense of individuality within their genre. I think that BTS can truly be called a game changer. They didn’t simply make K-pop popular; they raised it to something premium. In that sense, BTS changed the K-pop scene itself. I really admire them, and because we are under the same company, it makes it even more meaningful and motivating for me.”

Taehyun’s remarks were not merely a casual compliment or a simple act of labeling BTS as the ultimate game changers. In fact, a junior artist like Taehyun has worked motivated by his idols, including BTS, demonstrating their influence and standing in the Kpop scene!
