BIGHIT Music confirmed the news on November 19, 2024, sharing that medical advice urged the idol to pause all activities, including the 2024 MAMA Awards and the ACT: PROMISE Encore tour in Japan. According to the agency, he was advised to take a break upon medical consultation, as the idol was feeling “unwell.”
In addition to missing the 2024 MAMA Awards and the ACT: PROMISE Encore tour in Japan, he will also miss the Shanghai fan sign event, and other end-of-the-year ceremonies. And while it’s tough to see him sit out, fans understand that rest is a priority. Taking things to Weverse, Soobin himself revealed the decision in a letter penned to MOA (that’s the name TXt fans have).
Meanwhile, the rest of the TXT squad keeps making moves with “The Star Chapter: SANCTUARY.” The EP, which dropped on November 4, is already breaking records. With hits like “Over the Moon” and “Danger,” the album surpassed 1.2 million copies sold on day one alone. Though Soobin’s absence will be felt, his health comes first.
