During a recent interview, TWICE‘s Jeongyeon tearfully thanks her sister, Gong Seung-yeon, for her support amid health problems while sharing the details of these difficult times.
On May 13th was released the first preview for the next episode of ‘You Quiz on the Block’ starring the famous actress, where she joked about bragging to her younger sister “about appearing on the show first. Even TWICE hasn’t been on yet.”
The environment turns emotional when a surprising clip shows Jeongyeon fighting back with tears and expressing her sincere gratitude towards Gong Seung-yeon for her support in difficult times:
“It was a mentally difficult time for me. My sister held onto me and took me to the hospital.”

The TWICE member was diagnosed with a herniated disc in her neck in 2020, for which she underwent surgery that required heavy doses of steroids, subsequently causing Cushing’s syndrome, which brings with it fluid retention and drastic weight fluctuations.
Amid these health issues, the idol was diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder, leading her to take extended breaks from her activities as a member of the girl group to focus on her health.
