A few hours ago, TWICE‘s Chaeyoung breaks silence on indoor smoking accusations and shares her truth through a direct message to her loyal fans.
After days of speculations, started by a viral clip on social networks which shows the idol in a dark venue where she is allegedly seen smoking a vape, generating much criticism and mixed reactions from fans and netizens.
On August 11th, Chaeyoung addressed the rumors through a new message in her Bubble fan chat, where she explained that despite her trying to ignore the controversy, she decided to speak after the smoking allegation became bigger.
“I was going to stay quiet, but so many are mentioning the smoking incident to me. It’s not a smoke; I was drinking a beverage. Please take a good look.”
“It’s so tiring. I’m just having fun. And doesn’t it make no sense at all? Would someone be doing that in the open in a crowded space? I’m not so thoughtless.”
The TWICE member expresses her frustration for these negative comments and the fact that having a fun night in the public eye can turn into malicious rumors that can affect her career and image.
