In a recent video, TWICE members remembered some anecdotes they experienced together before their debut in 2015, when Momo revealed she was ‘scared’ of working with Nayeon and Jihyo when she was a trainee.
Momo said that Nayeon used to have the appearance of the trainee she imagined: “You were the image of a trainee that I had in mind“, and she described the idol as carrying a “backpack often. You wore leggings that fit snuggly, socks up to here, sneakers, and a kind of sweatshirt“.
This thought reminded her of the terrifying monthly evaluations in which she was teaming up with Nayeon and the girlgroup leader Jihyo, who were idols ready to debut. For that reason, Momo said, “I was scared in that situation“.
Despite this fear of working with her members and not speaking Korean at that time, she received great help from Nayeon. She said, “Unnie was really good to me. I was uncomfortable, but somehow she led me, saying, ‘Let’s do it together‘”.
