On October 15, 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the recipients of this year’s Korea Popular Culture and Arts Awards, set to take place on October 22. Among the 31 honorees, legendary figures like Kim Hae-sook, Lee Byung-hun, and G-Dragon will receive Cultural Medals, recognizing their decades of influence in film, drama, and music.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Citation will be awarded to top stars TWICE and ATEEZ, along with actors Kim Ji-won, Kim Tae-ri, Park Bo-young, Park Hae-joon, and Joo Ji-hoon. This aligns with how much TWICE and ATEEZ have contributed to the entertainment culture in the country, thanks to their albums, singles, and concerts.
