On August 15, 2025, KPop Demon Hunters reminded everyone how it’s done! After briefly losing the top spot, their hit single “Golden,” performed by the fictional girl group HUNTR/X, bounced back to #1 in the U.K., making history as the first K-pop track to claim the crown since PSY’s “Gangnam Style” in 2012.
The soundtrack has been smashing streaming records, racking up 18,631 equivalent sales in one week. That number toppled the Barbie soundtrack’s 2023 record and sent two more Demon Hunters tracks into the top ten, “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol.” And while the songs from the movie might be sung by fictional groups, their success is very real. With concert screenings and massive streaming numbers, KPop Demon Hunters is proving their musical powers.
Meanwhile, Chappell Roan’s The Subway held on strong at No. 2 while Disco Lines and Tinashe cracked the top three with No Broke Boys. But the week belonged to Golden, which reclaimed its throne. Catch the full top 10 here:
