BTS is back at the top of Billboard’s Artist 100 chart after the release of their new album ARIRANG. On the chart dated April 4, 2026, the boy group returned to #1 for the first time since June 2022. The strong demand follows the album’s release on March 20, 2026. In its first week, ARIRANG debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 641,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States, according to Luminate. The project has had the biggest opening week of 2026 and one of the largest album debuts of the decade.
With this achievement, BTS obtains their seventh #1 album on the Billboard 200 and their first chart leader since Proof in 2022. The album’s strong demand also pushed the boy group to a major return on the Artist 100, where BTS now has 22 total weeks at #1. Since the chart began in 2014, only Taylor Swift, Drake, Morgan Wallen, and The Weeknd have spent more time in the top spot. The Artist 100 measures an artist’s activity across album sales, song sales, radio play, and streaming.
