BTS has added another massive YouTube milestone to their massive pockets! The music video for “Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)” surpassed 1.6 billion views on September 16, 2026, according to Big Hit Music. This record makes it the group’s fourth music video to achieve that number, following previous hits like “Dynamite,” “Boy with Luv (feat. Halsey)” and “DNA.”
Released in November 2017, the Steve Aoki remix came approximately two months after the original “Mic Drop” track appeared on BTS’ fifth EP, Love Yourself: Her. The remix version also became an international hit, reaching #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remaining on the chart for 10 weeks. It also performed well on iTunes, where it reached #1 in 60 regions.
This latest YouTube milestone comes as BTS continues promoting their ARIRANG era. The group’s fifth studio album, ARIRANG, has remained on the Billboard 200 for 25 weeks and currently sits at #29, after debuting atop of the list in March. The album previously spent three consecutive weeks at #1, making it one of the biggest hits of 2026. “Mic Drop” remains one of BTS’ most recognizable earlier releases, and the latest view count demonstrates the continued popularity of the track, nine years into its original release.
