This is the strict security rule that King Charles III has cheated for decades

The British Monarchy has a long list of strict rules to follow when it comes to representing the crown in public outings. However, King Charles III has broken some of these royal rules, not once, but several times.

The rules and regulations around the royal members of the family must remain stringent, and potentially never re-regulated. For all of the staff within each royal home, their mobile phones must be switched off, unless they are in a desk job that requires them to use one.

However, it was previously reported that the Monarch of the United Kingdom doesn’t even have a phone, so it hasn’t been an issue for him to follow this rule for decades, almost cheating the system. But rules used to be stricter for royal staff two decades ago, and former royal patisserie chef Fiona Burton revealed all in an interview with Slingo.

“The protocols were pretty strict. Every time we left, we had to go through security checks. At the time, mobile phones were only just coming out, so we weren’t allowed phones or cameras in the castle.”
