Tom Ellis returns to Netflix in a new production, a long-awaited romantic comedy, that plans to surpass his successful fantasy series, which is available on the same streaming platform titled ‘Lucifer‘.
The series ‘Lucifer’ is one of the most popular in the world on the Netflix platform, the main character, Lucifer Morningstar, is played by the renowned actor Tom Ellis, it is a very interesting story, in addition to being a very different series to what we commonly see when it comes to celestial beings.
Netflix rescued and popularized this series after being canceled after its third season on the Fox network, and while it is true that it is a series that to this day remains in the top positions of the most viewed on the streaming platform, soon a movie will be released that promises to surpass it.
This is ‘Players‘, which will also be performed by Ellis, and tells the story of Mack, a “sports journalist who has spent the last years of her love life devising tricks and techniques to flirt. Until, one day, Mack ends up falling in love with one of her prey“, says the synopsis.
The famous actress Gina Rodriguez will play Mack the protagonist, more details of this production are expected soon. Its premiere was scheduled for 2023 on Netflix, however due to the strikes in Hollywood it has been delayed and a new date has not yet been announced.
