During a recent live stream, RM reveals the moving reason why BTS decided not to attend the 2026 AMAs after-party, demonstrating that the boys support and respect each other’s feelings.
On May 28th, the leader of the boy group went live through Weverse to interact with fans and discuss their new album ‘ARIRANG‘ and their appearance and wins at the 2026 AMAs the night before.
RM reveals that after the award ceremony ended, they considered going to the event after-party to meet and celebrate with other artists, but for them, this is a joint decision where they all go or none of them do.
“Yesterday, after the AMAs, we thought about going to the afterparty and hanging out a bit with artists and producers. We considered it, but eventually we didn’t go”.
“I was scared, and besides, several members struggle with English, and some of us just don’t enjoy socializing like that.”

The rapper of BTS revealed that his own fears and the English and socializing skills of some of the members are a barrier for them to attend these kinds of events together, but they demonstrate that the most important thing for them is that every member agree.
