The novel “The Mist” was one of these stories that did not attract much attention from lovers of the horror genre. Despite not being very well received, director Frank Darabont decided to make an adaptation of the novel in 2007.
“The Mist” tells the story of a group of people trapped in a small supermarket when a mysterious fog covers the whole town. Creatures move within this mysterious fog and attack and devour anyone who dares to leave.
The ending of the film is unique and considered by many as one of the most traumatic and shocking, which led Stephen King to receive praise, as he sometimes commented that he prefers the ending of the adaptation to the original novel.
