The K-Netizens were over cloud nine after the TVING’s upcoming K-Drama, “I Am a Running Mate,” was meant to be broadcast next week. However, the company has just announced its postponement and brought the conversation to online communities.
“I Am a Running Mate” is a teen political drama about a fierce race for student council, with the stellar appearances of Yoon Hyun Soo, who will do the impossible to reclaim his dignity and seize victory in the council.
The K-Drama was originally scheduled to premiere on March 6. However, TVING has just pushed back to an undermined date. The company also made a short statement to StarNews explaining the reasons why the show was postponed.
“As part of our programming strategy, we plan to change the release schedule for ‘I Am a Running Mate.’ In an industry competition where the situation changes every minute, we intend to re discuss the optimal release timing for ‘I Am a Running Mate,’ which is one of TVING’s key original productions. We will update you on the release schedule later on once it has been decided. Also, to improve the immersive quality of the drama, we plan to release all of the episodes at once, instead of releasing them weekly [as was originally planned].”
