Days ago the British royal family gathered to commemorate the creation of the Commonwealth, (Commonwealth of 56 countries and nations that became the British Empire), in which Kate Middleton wore an accessory that recently was able to incorporate into her jewelry box.
It is the Prince of Wales brooch, which she wore only for the second time: the first was a few months ago on a state trip of the president of South Africa.
This is because this jewel can only be worn by members of the royal family with the title, something that Kate has held since September last year, after the death of Queen Elizabeth II, when she and William became Prince and Princess of Wales.

The brooch is a piece that refers to the year 1863, when the future King Edward VII married Princess Alexandra of Denmark and the bride, as a gift, received this stunning jewel.
It was a present from the Ladies North of Wales society for the new princess, which remains to this day as one of the most luxurious items in the jewelry box of the British monarchy. This is the Prince of Wales brooch that Lady Di and Camilla Parker also wore.
It represents the coat of arms of Wales by its three feathers coming out of a crown. It has 18 diamonds placed in a circular shape, rubies and emeralds that represent the flag of this nation and has been a classic piece worn by all the princesses of Wales, as did Lady Di (and even Camilla Parker Bowles).
