Through an official statement Ten from NCT and WayV announced he has terminated his contract with SM Entertainment, shocking fans with another idol leaving the agency.
On April 6th, the agency shared a new statement announcing the idol’s contract has come to an end, and they will be working on the possibility of his participation in the boy group’s next activities in the future.
“Following careful and extensive discussions regarding TEN’s future direction, we have reached a mutual understanding to conclude his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment, effective April 8. Moving forward, we will continue to stay in close communication to explore opportunities for TEN to participate in WayV and NCT activities, where possible.”

SM Entertainment also praises TEN’s talent and shows appreciation for the 10 years he spent at the company, and they finally “wish him all the best as he moves forward into a new chapter.”
Two NCT members leave SM Entertainment this week
Previously, the agency announced that Mark would leave the company as well as conclude his activities with NCT, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, NCT U, and SUPER M, with the intention of looking for his own identity, resulting in two NCT members with their contracts expiring on April 8th.
