Amid Prince Harry’s trials over the invasion of his privacy in the United Kingdom, a Telegraph columnist has accused the Duke of Sussex to be hypocrite following his high-profile appearances at the High Court this week.
Prince Harry’s claims focus on 14 articles published by The Mail and Mail on Sunday between 2001 and 2013. He is currently arguing that the involved practices, such as phone hacking, blagging, and the use of private investigators, were the ones to obtain information about his private life during his teenage years.
However, Camilla Tominey has questioned Harry’s repeated claims that the media “commercialised” his private life, pointing to the Sussexes’ lucrative media ventures, including a Netflix documentary, Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” and their famous Oprah Winfrey interview. She sent a low blow to Prince Harry with the following sentence:
“No newspaper has cashed in on the Duke’s private life as profitably as he has himself.”
