Taylor Swift has been widely popular, not only for her incredible talent but for her controversy with Scooter Braun, who sold her masters to the Disney family’s investment firm, Shamrock Holdings, for $405 million. Since then, Taylor has been re-recording her albums in order to own her masters, and every release has become a global phenomenon, and “1989 (Taylor’s version)” wasn’t the exception.

“1989 (Taylor’s Version)” is the fourth re-recording from Swift, released on October 27, 2023. This album was highly anticipated by her fans, better known as the Swifties, because it is Swift’s blueprint in music to the general public and her formal introduction to the pop genre. Taylor has proven once again she runs the world, and Spotify was glad to share this news with the world.
