After days of speculations, Taylor Swift finally announces the release of her new single for ‘Toy Story 5’ soundtrack titled ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ marking her return to country music.
On June 1st, the official social media accounts of the singer and the production company shared the exciting news about their collaboration on the next original song for the franchise, which is set to be released this Friday, June 5th, following the appearance of billboards featuring the initials TS.

The song co-written and co-produced by Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff is touted as “a return to country” for the superstar, while some teasers and trailers tie the song to the story of the cowgirl character Jessie.
The singer shares the news with her fans confirming the rumors and recalling her connection with the movie “I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story”

The writer-director Andrew Stanton praise the song and the singer work in a recent stetement:
“Her connection to Jessie and the immediate way she understood what the character was going through were undeniable. The song is so deeply connected to ‘Toy Story.’ So much so that on first listen, it instantly felt like it had always belonged there, like a long-lost family member. It was kismet.”
Toy Story 5 will premiere in theaters on June 19 of this year.
