After failure after failure after failure, DC decided to put a pause and reboot an entire universe and now the man responsible for proving that you can have good superhero movies is famed director James Gunn-

The superhero par excellence will return to the world of cinema but will no longer be played by Henry Cavill, months ago it was announced who would be the new face, but now new people have been involved with the project and we already have new protagonists.

Superman Legacy: This is what DC’s new generation looks like

According to Variety, the new face we will meet in this universe is actor Nicholas Hoult, who will be giving life to the arch-enemy, Lex Luthor. Previously it had been reported that David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan would be in charge of playing Superman himself and Lois Lane, his classic love interest. And now, James Gunn has confirmed that Venezuelan actress Maria Gabriela de Faria will play The Engineer, the villain.

Superman Legacy: This is what DC's next generation looks like

James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025, which means there will still be many more characters we will be meeting. But be aware that if the new movie is a success, David, Rachel, Nicholas and Maria Gabriela will change their lives forever and become part of superhero movie history.

Better to take a chance on that, than to be caught off guard like many new Marvel characters. Cof Cof. The Disney+ Series

The eyes are undoubtedly on director James Gunn, because if the new film is a success, he will become a true superhero for the industry and maybe Marvel will follow his example and leave those stories that make fans squirm and say they loved it. What do you think about it? Will you watch the new DC universe movies when they come out?
