Summer is already here! Thousands of fans reunite at the annual WATERBOMB event, which includes huge names on its lineup. From Kpop legends to rookie groups, the idols spent a warm time with fans while getting splashed with water bombs and guns, enjoying the summer like it was the last one. However, MONSTA X’s I.M’s absence will be notable.

On July 25, Starship Entertainment, MONSTA X’s music agency, released a short statement via fan platform, Berriz, breaking the bad news. The agency stated that I.M. would be unable to participate in the upcoming event due to back pain, so he will sit out until he fully recovers to resume his activities.

The idol is currently recovering from a major back pain

Hello, this is Starship Entertainment.

Recently, MONSTA X member I.M visited the hospital after experiencing back pain and was advised by medical professionals to rest and undergo treatment.
Currently, I.M is focusing on recovery while undergoing treatment and taking time to rest.

As a result, we regret to inform you that he will not be able to participate in WATERBOMB BUSAN 2025, scheduled for Saturday, July 26.

As this decision was made with the artist’s health as our top priority, we ask for your kind understanding.
Starship Entertainment will do everything we can to support I.M’s speedy recovery.
