Sophie, well known as the Duchess of Edinburgh, is taking international royal appointments as part of her duties with the British Crown. This time, the Duchess arrived in New York City to attend a special meeting at the United Nations focused on Women’s rights.
Sophie carried a message from King Charles III and diplomatic tension surrounding a possible royal visit to the United States.
