The protagonist of the Netflix series Vincenzo, Song Joong-ki, was recently in an interview on JTBC ‘Newsroom‘ where the actor expressed that he had been rejected in multiple auditions abroad, which has surprised his fans since he has participated in productions that have been very successful.
During the interview, he was asked, “Do you have any special criteria for choosing your projects?“, to which he responded, “Personally, I try not to repeat what I’ve already done. I have a strange obsession. If I don’t enjoy it, it clearly shows“.
When looking for a role abroad, he is also looking for a new professional challenge that can keep him motivated, and if this does not happen, the actor gets bored and does not enjoy it. Joong-ki is currently the protagonist of the new movie ‘Hopeless‘, so his commitment is to that project.
However, the actor confessed, “After finishing promotions for ‘Hopeless’, I will go abroad to audition for some projects“. He explained, “I’m becoming more interested in trying to act in different cultural contexts and in different industries“.
Song Joong-ki added, “I’ve failed every audition before, so I hope to do it well this time“, showing that he’s not ready to give up, as he himself explained that his goal was “to become an actor who makes you look forward to what I’m going to do“.
