Things just got even messier between SM Entertainment and EXO-CBX! On October 29, 2025, SM Entertainment responded to INB100’s statement that claimed Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin had accepted all of SM’s terms to join EXO’s comeback. According to SM, the trio still hasn’t paid the 10% share of income from their solo activities (something required by their original contract). The company argued that the “unreasonable lawsuits” filed by the trio in the past had damaged trust and hurt the rest of the group members and the fans.

However, INB100 published another statement, saying that EX-CBX (Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin) do intend to pay the 10%, but only once their ongoing lawsuit process is terminated. They also insisted that all talks had been based on “EXO full-group activities” and that CBX had been in direct communication with the other EXO members, trying to be part of the group for their next project.

The back-and-forth between the two sides shows no signs of slowing down. SM says the trio must pay, and there are still no signs that Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin will join the rest of the EXO members for the EXO’verse fan meeting on December 13th and 14th or their 2026 musical comeback. Still, fans are holding on to hope that the iconic group can perform as a full unit again.
