A few hours ago, SHINee‘s Taemin announced his solo comeback with ‘PHASE 1: Soft Violence’ and an interesting new image teasing the concept of this upcoming release.
On July 23rd, the K-Pop idol updated his social networks with an image of an ant climbing a tower of sugar cubes in black and white and featuring the title ‘PHASE 1: Soft Violence’ and a release day set for August 31st of the current year.

The day before, he shared a teaser video titled ‘This is’ with a horror concept following an insect’s perspective, showing it walking through a dark room until arriving at the idol laid on the floor while a close-up shows that its ear emits an intense neon light from inside the skin.

This comeback comes approximately 3 months after his previous release of ‘Permission’ back in May, while a month before, he made history by becoming the first Korean male solo artist to perform at 2026 Coachella.
