Pledis Entertainment is done playing nice! On March 17, the agency behind SEVENTEEN announced legal action against those invading the group’s privacy and spreading harmful rumors. This includes individuals leaking unreleased album details, exposing flight information, and posting defamatory content online against SEVENTEEN. The situation has escalated since 2023, with confidential details about the group surfacing on anonymous forums. Now, the agency is pushing forward with formal complaints, which they have been planning since the latter half of 2024.

One shocking revelation? An airline employee was criminally charged for illegally selling SEVENTEEN’s flight details, violating South Korea’s data protection laws. Pledis has filed legal complaints under the Act on Punishment of Crime of Stalking to tackle these invasions of privacy. The company is also fighting back against online harassment, targeting defamatory statements, false rumors, and malicious posts circulating on platforms like X, YouTube, and TheQoo.

SEVENTEEN fans are being called to action—Pledis has urged them to report harmful content via HYBE’s official Artist Rights Violation Report Website. They also reassured fans that SEVENTEEN’s safety remains a top priority, declaring that their artists’ rights will remain protected.
