Saw has become one of the greatest references in horror movies because of its innovative plot which has become a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. The franchise has found its way to stay fresh throughout its ten releases, and Saw X’s director might be indicating a new possible installment is coming.
Kevin Greutert was in charge of bringing to the silver screen the latest installment premiered on September 29, 2023, and became even more terrifying because of the wicked games John Kramer invented for his victims. This amazing movie is narrated between the first and second films’ timeline and has an open end, which leaves numerous questions about it.
Greutert had an exclusive interview with The Direct, where he commented on the possibilities of Saw XI becoming a reality. The director was asked if he was confident the fans are going to have another sequel where he addressed the current situation:
“Well, you know, I know the people involved well, and they’re ordinary humans. And if this film makes a lot of money, they’re not gonna leave money on the table if there are future directions to go.”
Kevin also addressed the fan’s questions about the latest movie being the least conclusive of the franchise
“I mean, when you say, though, that this film leaves open threads, it doesn’t necessarily answer a lot of questions that are cliffhangers for the other episodes. But for this one, some characters live and we don’t necessarily see what happens to them after that. I’m hoping that the audience does want to know what happens to them after that and that we someday can make another ‘Saw’ that does answer it because I love these characters.”
