Sabrina Carpenter has done it again! On August 29, 2025, she released her seventh studio album “Man’s Best Friend”  just one year after her breakout project “Short n’ Sweet.” Mostly produced by Jack Antonoff and packed with 12 tracks, this album doubles down on her country-pop aesthetic and builds upon her charming and sarcastic lyrics.

The album includes “Manchild,” which already hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June, plus the pop-dance single “Tears” with a brand-new video. This new era follows the massive success of “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” from 2024, which helped her break through last year and made her a main pop girl.

Of course, some listeners are clutching their pearls over the provocative cover and cheeky lyrics, but Sabrina herself brushed it off on CBS Mornings, saying even pearl-clutchers might secretly enjoy it. Addressing the controversy, she expressed:

“Y’all need to get out more, I think. I was actually shocked because between me, my friends, family and the people I always share my music and art with first, it just wasn’t even a conversation. It was just like, it’s perfect for what the album is [and] what it represents.”

The album offers a fun ride through the stages of a break-up, all with sugar-coated tracks with different sonic influences from country, disco, dance-pop, and trip-hop. Listen to it here:
